週三，七次入選全明星的LaMarcus Aldridge宣布因為心律不正問題而決定退出已經長達15年的NBA職業生涯。儘管這對聯盟和布魯克林籃網是個沉重打擊，但是Kevin Durant依然作出特別衷心的回應。
