連續五次打進NBA總決賽並獲得三次總冠軍的勇士隊今年除了錯過總決賽之外，還錯過了季後賽，以15勝50負排在西岸最後一位。但事出必有因，一支冠軍級球隊突然掉進谷底尋根究底是因為球隊主力Stephen Curry手掌骨裂幾乎錯過了整個賽季, Klay Thompson上個季後賽遭遇的十字韌帶斷裂傷仍在康復中，Draymond Green不斷受到傷患困擾，加上Andre Iguodala已在暑假離開，逼使球隊源用一些新人重新磨合。
勇士當家球星Stephen Curry不忍見到球隊繼續失落下去，他希望所有人都記住勇士是一支非一般的勁旅。

Curry跟Jermaine O’Neal在IG直播中提到他與Klay Thompson和Draymond Green都知道他們還沒成功創造皇朝。從第一天起，他知道核心就在這裡，他們將竭盡所能做出一切改變讓球隊看起來有所不同。他們現在擁有一些新的角色為球隊貢獻達到更高層次，但說到(冠軍)基因就只有他們三個。無論如何，他們都會保持最佳狀態。

引用“For us, big picture, we know we’re not done,” Curry told Jermaine O’Neal in an Instagram Live chat, via Josh Schrock of NBC Sports. “Myself, Klay [Thompson], Draymond [Green] we know we’re not done. The core that’s been here since Day 1, we’re going to do everything that we got in our power — it’s going to look different, it’s going to have a new cast of characters that are going to contribute at a high level. But the DNA, just the chemistry that us three have, we’re going to be in good shape coming out of this no matter how basketball looks.”

其實Stephen Curry要面對更重要的問題是如何讓自己保持健康，畢竟2017年來就沒有試過出席多於70場比賽。
