Draymond Green ：不在乎年度最佳防守球員

錯過了上季的「年度最佳防守球」之後，Draymond Green 曾不只一次表示質疑過這獎項的得主問題。不過在今年，勇士奪冠之後，Draymond Green 卻對記者說他已經不在乎這些了。
「我再也不在乎（這獎項）了。」Draymond Green 在奧克蘭接受訪問時說道，「我過去曾經在意過，但我們現在贏得了NBA 冠軍了。我不會再在意常規賽發生的事了，我更在乎在季後賽第一輪和第二輪的事情。」

「不過到了現在…我也不在意了。」

時間回到兩個月前，當Draymond Green 談論自己的防守表現時，他曾經說過這樣的話：

引用“It is the best defensive season I’ve had, because I’ve continued to grow,” he said at the end of the regular season. “When I look at the last couple years, I think each year I got better defensively. And I think this year I’ve gotten better. So I do think it’s my best season, defensively -- but just not numbers-wise. The numbers are up a little bit more. But I actually feel better about what I’ve done on the defensive end than I have in any other year.”
