今年休賽期之前很難想像到 Lance Stephenson 與 LeBron James 效力同一支隊伍，結果他們兩人今夏加盟湖人。過往他們在場上刷出很多火花，Stephenson 曾經在比賽時吹 LeBron 的耳朵成為球迷討論的熱話。近日，Stephenson 接受訪問時提及他加盟湖人的決定，他表示當時 Magic Johnson 致電給他，並告訴LeBron 對於他很感興趣，最終經過數小時的考慮後決定加盟湖人。

“I decided to go there and, hopefully, we will win a lot of games and have fun,” he said.

Stephenson 最終在七月份與湖人簽下一份為期一年價值445萬美元合約。除此之外，湖人今夏亦簽下多名經驗老到的球員，包括Rajon Rondo，Michael Beasley 及 JaVale McGee。Stephenson 去季效力溜馬場均攻入9.2分，5.2個籃板及2.9次助攻，季後賽首輪面對 LeBron 所帶領的騎士被淘汰出局，且看來季兩人合作能否帶領湖人擊敗勇士。
