維權鬥士？Kyrie不打疫苗並非自私、不科學，只為抗議疫苗政策令很多人失去工作

Kyrie Irving疫苗事件鬧得沸騰，除了籃網將其禁賽外，隊中另外兩位球星亦被傳媒指支持籃網決定。而網上亦不少人認為Kyrie不願接受疫苗注的的行為是自私或者荒謬，包括不少名宿，如Shaq就在節目中公開抨擊，更指籃網應馬上將Irving送走。


但事實上，Kyrie Irving又是否因信仰或自私而不注射疫苗？現時NBA疫苗政策，規定球隊中的工作人員需完成疫苗注射方可繼續工作，如沒有注射或不接受注射，則代表無法於場館中工作，變相失業。有消息指，Kyrie Irving遲遲未接受疫苗，主要因為認為這樣的疫苗政策十分橫蠻霸道，莫視所有人的身體狀況及個人意願。是故自己帶頭不接受注射，藉此抗議。

引用“Multiple sources with direct knowledge of Irving’s decision have told The Athletic that Irving is not anti-vaccine and that his stance is that he is upset that people are losing their jobs due to vaccine mandates. It’s a stance that Irving has explained to close teammates. To him, this is about a grander fight than the one on the court and Irving is challenging a perceived control of society and people’s livelihood, according to sources with knowledge of Irving’s mindset. It is a decision that he believes he is capable to make given his current life dynamics. “Kyrie wants to be a voice for the voiceless,” one source said.”

Kyrie Irving在這次事件前，其實亦就不同政策上的社會事件發聲，例如以往WNBA薪金問題，則主動捐贈150萬美元。
