再有名宿稱讚Westbrook，Larry Bird稱希望Westbrook能連續十次拿下MVP

最近，MVP最熱門的話題是誰能取得今季常規賽MVP，最近呼聲最高的是火箭的James Harden和雷霆的Russell Westbrook。繼Kobe Bryant和Allen Iverson稱讚Westbrook充滿鬥心的表現後，再有名宿稱讚Westbrook，今次是溜馬總裁Larry Bird。
對於最近一個月，Westbrook場均拿下30分、10次助攻和10個籃板的成績。Bird認為Westbrook縱使受過了嚴重傷患，但他每次踏上球場，也會付出自己的一切，表現得無所畏懼。Bird很欣賞這種態度，喜歡他每晚都願意接受對手挑戰，因此更希望他連續10次拿下MVP。

然而，Westbrook的位置與Bird球員生涯時期不同，記者問Bird，Westbrook有否令他想起了自己。

Bird表示，他不知道，但他的籃球哲學裡，就是上場打球的目標是取得勝利。Bird表示這種打法或許會令自己受傷。但Westbrook仍然按照這種打法，打出有效率的籃球。
