Wall與Cousins認為他們比師弟更優勝 精選

肯塔基大學的Karl Towns、Willie Cauley-Stein和 Devin Booker，很有機會在今年NBA選秀大會中，在前20個順位中被選中。現時，他們取得了34勝0負的成績，假若他們最終順利奪冠，將會完成40場全勝的驕人成績。
可是，在2009-10年度，帶領肯塔基大學以第一種子進入淘汰賽的John Wall和DeMarcus Cousins認為，需然他們當年被西維珍尼亞擊敗，但他們仍然是一隊比現在更好的球隊。

引用John Wall說：
“Well, they got the better record, but I wouldn’t say (they’re the better team),”
“We were a better team, but we didn’t win. They’re going to have the leverage because they went 40-0 and got a national championship to back it up.”

DeMarcus Cousins說：

“I mean, yeah. [John is] right. They would be considered the best, but we all know the truth.”
“Hopefully these guys do pull this off.”

對上一次能夠全勝奪取NCAA總冠軍的球隊，已經是1976年Isiah Thomas帶領的印第安納。及後，Larry Bird的印第安納州在總決賽前一直保持不敗，但最終負給Magic Johnson的密茲根州。

2009-10年肯塔基大學的陣容中，除了John Wall和DeMarcus Cousins外，還有現時效力太陽的Eric Bledsoe與及速龍的Patrick Patterson。
