McGee希望留在費城，並成為成為年輕球員的導師 精選

上星期四，丹佛金塊終於找到買家，接收JaVale McGee的高薪合約，而這買家便是費城76人。在轉至76人的時候，便迅即傳出76人買斷McGee合約的新聞，可是76人官方也隨即否認。
McGee在接受< 費城詢問報>訪問時表示，自己希望留在76人，他認為買斷合約是一些消極的事，而且也無法拿足薪金。對他來說，他只有27歲，並非像老將般要去一些能夠競逐冠軍的球隊，他只想打籃球而已。

引用“I don’t want to get bought out.”

“That’s not a positive thing. When you think about it, you don’t get all of your money when you get bought out. ”

“So it doesn’t make sense why someone would want to get bought out unless they are older – older and they want to go to a contender or something. I’m not that old. I just want to play basketball.”

此外，他也希望成為陣中年輕球員，像Nerlens Noel和 Joel Embiid的導師，向這球球員分享經驗。他指出自己在巫師的第二年，也像現時76人般，贏得只有19場的賽事。

引用“When I was with the Wizards, I think it was my sophomore year, we won like 19 games.”

“So I’ve been in the same situation. I’ve just definitely got to get these young guys’ heads into it where they stay positive, keep playing hard, just look for wins and [learn] how to win.”

雖然不知道McGee是否能夠成為一位好的導師，但現時Joel Embiid只沉迷Twitter的玩意，如Embiid未能及時成長，將成為另一位被球迷嘲笑的球員。
