儘管Miller已經年老，但他接受訪問時表示，仍然希望為巫師打球，甚至在下季仍繼續留在NBA比賽。Miller認為一切取決於他的心態，雖然他知道自己有一天終需停下來，但現在他仍希望繼續下去。

引用“I’d like to say that’s my mentality,” Miller said of playing until the wheels come off. “But I’m preparing for the day the ball stops rolling and bouncing. I know I will eventually have to do something else. I’d like to keep saying, yes, I can keep going but you never know how thing play out.”

Miller也表示，他希望繼續留在巫師，成為團隊的一部分，繼續貢獻自己。至於下年是否繼續比賽，他說就看看夏天會發生什麼事情了。

引用“I would like to close it out here. I’m just enjoying this [success] and taking it one game at a time. Putting all my effort into practices and getting the most out of myself as far as being a team player."
