在昨天，雷霆教練Scott Brooks表示，Kevin Durant的康復進度未如理想，情況甚至進一步惡化。結果，Durant已被暫停所有訓練，原定這兩星期復出的他，復出日子變得不確定。
雷霆總經理Sam Presti表示，只有Durant健康，而且復出的時候不感痠痛，他一定會在場上。可是，Durant的情況並不理想，若果他需要更多時間康復，也會任由他。因為Durant的健康比起球隊在季後賽的表現更多重要。這番說話，他沒有排除Durant賽季報銷的可能性。
