回應「眼神防守」 James Harden: 我沒有關注這些批評 精選

早前ESPN轉截了James Harden在對戰速龍一戰中的一個「眼神防守」鏡頭，從而讓不少媒體和專家再次批評James Harden的防守表現。新聞一出後，火箭總經理Daryl Morey在Twitter和微博上為James Harden護航，並反諷媒體和網友「不用介意James 40+5+15的數據」。

Sportsgrid.com轉載了 the Houston Chronicle的報導，James Harden回應了Daryl Morey為他說話的事情：「很感謝他(Daryl Morey)，我不知道這些事，我沒關注這種事情。那些批評沒有對我造成困擾，因為我根本就沒有關注。說實話，近期我有一些很不錯的防守。」

引用“It’s much appreciated,” Harden said of Morey’s social media effort. “I don’t know what it was. I don’t pay attention to stuff like that.

“It doesn’t bother me because I don’t pay attention to it. And to be honest, I’ve been playing some really good defense as of late.”

引用“It comes with it,” Harden said. “When things are going really well, I don’t get too high. When things are not going well, I don’t get too low. You’re going to get criticized. I don’t pay attention. You’re going to have haters and people that love you. If it bothered me, it would take away from what I need to be doing, what I need to be focused on.”

話雖如此，截至目前為止，James Harden防守的對象場均命中率達到46.6%，比去年還要差。
