Westbrook再坐板凳心情不同 James：我告訴他不要懷疑自己

湖人上周末戰勝尼克的比賽又有人失意了，但不是奮戰到延長賽輸球的尼克球員，而是3周內第2次在關鍵時刻被放在板凳上的Russell Westbrook。
在1月19日輸給溜馬的比賽最後3分52秒時，Westbrook背負著所有球迷質疑的眼光坐在場邊，這讓他賽後拒絕接受採訪就離開球館。

引用威少在事後語帶落寞談到：“我剛剛和Vogel談過我對此感到不安，但我更沮喪的是我沒有贏得比賽。不過這沒關係，就像我說的那樣，我不想把焦點放在我身上，要關注的是我們的團隊和其他球員。"

回到尼克的比賽後，整場10投1中僅拿5分的Westbrook這次展現了較為積極的態度回應。

引用Westbrook：“這場比賽最好的部分就是你贏了，夥計們參與了比賽，我們贏下比賽，這才是最重要的。”

很明顯的是，Westbrook比起個人表現更在乎球隊輸贏。但他已經成為湖人球迷撻伐的主角，在很多個晚上，現場球迷甚至會大喊著：不要投籃！。在這樣的低潮時刻，隊友的送暖可能是最好的支持。
