Chris Webber：沒有人像他那樣打球，他超越了「微笑刺客」Isiah Thomas！

前國王隊的明星大前鋒Chris Webber日前接受美國媒體"San Jose Mercury News"訪問，表示自己兒時的偶像是前底特律活塞的明星控衛「微笑刺客」Isiah Thomas，而他不情願地承認，他認為Stephen Curry已經超越了他兒時的偶像。
Chris Webber於美國當地時間週一在TNT電視台的活動上表示，“Isiah Thomas是我最喜愛的球員。但我膽敢說...不只是我說，但事實上的確沒有人像Stephen Curry般打球，而我認為大部人都會說他已經超越了Isiah Thomas的級別。”

引用"Isiah Thomas is my favorite," Webber said Monday at a TNT media event on the eve of the start of the NBA season. "Dare I say it ... I won't say it, but it's true. No one's played with a guy like (Curry). I think most would say he's surpassed that category."

1993/94賽季嬴得年度最佳新秀榮譽並且曾參與五屆全明星賽的Chris Webber繼續道，“沒有人曾和任何像Curry的球員打球，除非你是Curry他的隊友。他是NBA有史以來的最佳射手，他是最優秀的射手，同時又著最出色的控球技巧。大多數的射手只會接球投籃 (catch-and-shoot)，而Curry他同時有著穿插禁區攻擊籃框的能力。”

引用"No one's played with anyone like Curry unless you've played with Curry," the former five-time All-Star said. "He's the best shooter than the NBA has ever seen. He's the best shooter that had the best handle. Most guys just catch and shoot. He's a great penetrator."

而且Chris Webber更認為Stephen Curry仍未達到他的頂峰。他表示，“可怕的是，Curry他說自己想變得更快，並在場上創造更多的空間。而事實上他的投射只需要少許的空間便已經足夠出手，所以他努力訓練如何製造空間。他仍然年輕，所以他將會變得更強，而他亦在學習如何成為一位更出色的領袖。

引用"Scarily, he said he wants to get quicker and more spacing. All he needs is a little bit of space for his shot. So he's working on spacing," Webber said. "He can get better because he's young. He's learning to be even more of a leader.

而對於金洲勇士來季衛冕NBA總冠軍的機會，Webber表示非常的看好。他說道，“我知道媒體和球迷們都說他們上賽季總冠軍戰的對手騎士隊陣容不整，但我更看重他們球隊自己的成果，他們既是聯盟中投籃最強的隊伍，同時亦是最出色的防守隊伍，這十分難得，而我亦喜歡他們的這樣的特質。”

引用"I know it's been mentioned that Cleveland wasn't necessarily healthy," he said, referring to the team the Warriors beat in the NBA Finals. "I look more at what they did. They're an anomaly -- the No. 1 shooting team and the No. 1 defensive team. That doesn't happen. I like their substance."

雖然新球季尚未開始，談衛冕實在言之尚早，特別是在競爭如此激烈的西區。但毫無疑問，Stephen Curry和勇士隊在上賽季的表現確實值得各位球迷和一眾NBA前輩的肯定。而隨著他們的進步，他們將可以挑戰、甚至比肩更多的傳奇。
