據洛杉磯湖人官方報導，隊中控衛Steve Nash因背部受傷關係，將缺席整個2014-15球季。由於他的合約僅餘一年，這或意味著他被迫提早退休。
日前拿起背包而弄傷的Nash，被確診為經常性的神經損傷。由於整個傷患將會一直陪伴他一段長時間，因此他被迫要缺席2014-15整個賽事。

這名40歲的老將表示非常失望，他表示一直都很努力維持健康，而對於無法為球隊上陣，他感到抱歉，但他仍會繼續支持球隊。
